Queen Latifah Sued By Former Make-Up Artist, Fashion Stylist
A makeup artist and a fashion stylist have filed a lawsuit against Queen Latifah, claiming the actress cheated them out of more than $1 million.
According to the Associated Press, each filed separate lawsuits in Manhattan on Monday (March 30).
Celebrity makeup consultant Roxanna Floyd claims she's due $700,000 for work on Latifah from July 2005 and February 2008 in developing, marketing and producing her Queen Collection for CoverGirl.
In a totally separate suit, celebrity fashion stylist Susan Moses said she was cheated of $300,000 during the same period, which includes a $50,000 per year salary for advising the 39-year-old Latifah (real name: Dana Owens) on her Curvations full-figured lingerie line.
Amanda Silverman, a spokeswoman for the actress, said the lawsuits have no merit, but she can't comment more on pending litigation.
